I'm a modeler since the age of 4 and as a member of Team CARF I am absolutely proud to represent this outstanding brand at various international events for over ten years! My passion from the beginning was aerobatics. After I started partcipating on my first regional aerobatic competitions (Bavarian Open and Schwaben Cup) I used to continue flying IMAC Germany and IMAC Europe competitions for many years. That helped me learning the essentials of aerobatics from ground up and gave me the opportunity to compete and improve on an international level. It also fascinated me to fly my planes at the limit of what's possible in freestyle and 3D-manouvers.
For me it's very important that my aerobatic planes allow a perfect balancing act between sequence flying and 3D. That is what convinced me on all my previous CARF-Models, and believe me, that were quite a few…
With my CARF-Models SU-31 (2.6m, 2.75m and 3.0m) as well as the Extra 330LX (3.1m) I had the opportunity to win the IMAC Germancup (Unlimited) in the years 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. Apart of a few podiums in the IMAC Europe (Unlimited) and F3S Jet-Aerobatic classes, I think these were my greatest model flying successes to date.
The CARF-Models team members are all closely involved in the design and test process oft the planes. The prototypes are flown hard by various pilots and in different conditions. This way it's possible to implement the experience and the expectation of pilots in the best possible way and to recognize and eliminate weak points immediately.
In the year 2018 I had the chance to fly the CARF-Models Mephisto for the first time. From the first flight I have been super fascinated of this airplane and I also immediately understood why this airplane looks how it looks. Form follows function! That is what makes this plane unique. It tracks like an pattern plane and allows maneuvers I couldn't imagine to be flown with a jet before. With this plane the limiting factor is only the pilot and that is what makes it so very special.
Besides the Mephisto my favorites are Yak 55SP (2.6m), Viperjet MKII, Classic Flash, Extra 330SC (3.0m), Arcus and especially the all new Extra 330LX 2.6m.
In the past few years I have been participating many awesome and well-known international events together with Team CARF. I am super thankful for the opportunity to fly the best planes on the planet together with such an amazing team. I have priceless memories for example of Florida Jets, Best in the West Jet Ralley, Jets over Dubai, Horizon Airmeet and last but not least the Joe Nall week. The whole team works together very well and it's just super fun flying together. I am very grateful for the countless people I have met, and the new friendships that have developed on the events. We all look forward to meeting you again and flying together at future events.
