It was essential to stiffen the fuselage, especially the rear fuselage. The Chipmunk has an extremely big tail that needs to be connected to the rear fuselage well. We installed plywood-foam construction to ensure the tail area is strong enough to support the big tail. The center wing is mounted to the fuselage the same way as usual, with two M5 bolts connecting the fuselage and center wing.
With our Mephisto V2 we learned that creating a strong but light 3-piece wing system is not an easy job. Anyways, because of the transportion of Chippy we decided to go that way again and build a exactly taht kind of 3-piece wing. Two outer wings will be installed in each of them, one aileron servo. The center wing contains a carbon-reinforced wing spar, which connects the outer wings by a 40mm carbon tube.
The Stab is made as usual. Each one mounted from the left & right side of the rear fuselage. The servos are placed in the stab servo slot as usual as well. If you keep the carbon stab tube installed in one side it will be one M3 Bolt to install the elevators at the airfield, which is done in a few seconds...
The removable fin is mounted with one M4 Bolt from its right side. The carbon fin tube will be glued into the fuselage which makes the installation very easy. Linked by a standard pull-pull wire with two ganged servos.
The Super Chipmunk is equipped with rigid, scale-style aluminum main landing gear, designed to not only look authentic but also to withstand the stresses of aerobatic flying and regular field use. Unlike typical sport planes where flexible gear absorbs landing forces through movement, the Chipmunk's stiff landing gear maintains its shape and alignment under load. This gives the model a very scale-like ground presence and provides direct feedback during landings and taxiing.
The Super Chipmunk’s fixed landing gear with oleo struts is not just for show—it’s part of what gives the plane its authentic scale experience, both visually and in how it behaves on the ground. Yes, we will do the retractable landing gear version, but not for now. We start delivering the Super Chipmunk with the electric retractable Landing Gear by the beginning of 2026.
The Super Chipmunk is designed for two-stroke engines from 150 - 200cm or some four-stroke engines. The maximum width of the engine should be 350mm to fit into the two-piece cowling. We offer an excellent stainless steel exhaust SET for the Desert Aircraft DA-170/180 and DA-200 made by Zimmermann Schalldämpfer from Germany. Those SETs have different header shapes to make the canister outlets the same length, which looks way more professional. The SETs can be easily installed with the included canister mount, which will be mounted in the muffler compartment. It is made so you can remove the engine dome combined with the exhausts as one big part.
We offer an extremely high-quality assembly service, delivering a ARF+ or ready-to-fly PNP model – including turbine, complete servo and wiring installation, electric retractable landing gear, and pre-installed fuel tank. When you receive this model in the PNP version, final assembly takes just a few hours… A scale prop plane like our big Super Chipmunk has never been easier to get airborne! At the same time, the pictures show what your model can look like once you’ve completed the build – a true masterpiece in both looks and engineering.

Die Super Chipmunk ist gemacht für klassische Kunstflugfiguren wie Scale Snaps, bleibt aber gleichzeitig ein äußerst eleganter Slowflyer, mit dem man entspannte Abendflüge genießen kann.
