The retracts for our Corsair are made by the renowned scale retract manufacturer Sierra Giant Scale. They are designed exclusively to fit our Corsair. We strongly recommend using this gear with your CARF Corsair, as both the kit and retracts are a perfect match and designed for each other. Here are a few essential details that should rule out any aftermarket product:

Matching scale wheels with CNC machined aluminum hubs and a retractable tail gear with wheel are exclusively manufactured for the CARF Corsair.
PLEASE NOTE: This electric retract has a spindle protruding from the rear of the frame. A through-hole will need to be ground through the center wing spar. This set should not be purchased as an upgrade for an F4U-1D Plug-In Wing Corsair without carefully considering the modifications that need to be made to the center wing, especially the wing tube and wing tube sockets. Please get advice from your sales rep before you decide to upgrade.
