Hello, my name is Joel, I’m 16 years old and I come from Germany, near Frankfurt. I basically grew up at the airfield, surrounded by model airplanes from day one. My grandfather and father quickly got me into the hobby, and even back then, both of them were flying the very first generation of CARF Extras, so CARF Models have always been part of our family’s flying history.
When the absolute game changer, the CARF Extra 330LX 2.6m, was released, I instantly knew that I had to make it mine. It represented everything I had dreamed of in a model, and finally being able to own and fly one was a huge milestone for me.
Now, standing here today, it truly feels like a dream come true: in 2025 I became part of the CARF Models Team as an official Team Pilot. For me, this is not just about flying airplanes, it’s about carrying on a family tradition, representing a brand I’ve admired since childhood, and growing together with a team of passionate and talented pilots. I’m very much looking forward to all the exciting projects, events, and flights ahead, and I can’t wait to represent CARF Models in the best possible way in the years to come!
