General Information

The key point is that we've kept all the best features: the perfect size, ultimate strength, great aerobatic capabilities, wide speed range, and rugged construction. We also commit to impressive new schemes, as always. Composite parts painted in the molds with touched-up seams, along with functional accessories, have always been key components of our Flash/Ultraflash and will remain so.

If you never had one, it's time to get your first. If you had a few, you know that you will always need one... The CARF-Models UltraFlash EVO!

Getting the UltraFlash EVO in the air will require no more than 10 hours of work, including installing servos and propulsion systems. THAT's a revolution for the price.

ARF KIT

However, a few things still grew a little outdated over time. So nobody needed the receiver-pack pockets in the wood structure anymore, where the bulky NiCd batteries would fit, or the mount for the mechanical air valve. Even though it felt a little sentimental to get rid of it, we eliminated 12 years of an unparalleled success story.

But all the improvements in detail, the fine-tuning of the successful design, make a big difference and a great step forward. Of course, pre-fabrication has improved even further; we now include and install an electric retract for you right in the factory.

ARF KIT Details

Fuselage

The fuselage is pretty much unchanged on the outside; the improvements are in the wood-structure details. A simplified "nose job" makes gear and RC installation easier. We eliminated the intake liner and shortened the structural intakes to make room for fuel. The canopy mount remains the same, as does the simple but attractive cockpit tub, which installs easily for a great look.

One Piece Wing

The wing was redesigned in the gear-mount area, allowing the struts and wheels of the new retracts to fit precisely within the wheel wells. The flap and aileron servo mounts are now pre-assembled and ready for your servo installation.

One-piece stab

The one-piece stab now accepts elevator servos up to 21 mm wide and will be installed with two M4 Bolts.

Engine Choice

Subtle yet noticeable changes in this area have significantly improved the UltraFlash's overall quality and practicality. The Turbine mounting itself hasn't changed, but we have redesigned how the thrust tube assembles and mounts in the fuselage. The connection between the carbon bell mouth and the stainless thrust tube uses pre-drilled holes, allowing it to be inserted into the fuselage and screwed together in seconds. We have also changed the thrust tube material to the hard and superlight 0.15mm stainless steel we were able to source.

Last but not least, a new 3.5 l fuel tank will eliminate the need for the wing tank when using larger engines and make the optional saddle tanks completely unnecessary. Instead, the wing tank can be used for smoke. Therefore, we shortened the intakes and eliminated the removable intake liner. This fuel-system simplification is one of the biggest improvements, we're sure. For the SPEED junkies, the optional small main tank, in conjunction with the full intake liner, is still available and can be installed.

Landing Gear

A new electric retractable landing gear has been designed and put into production, which fits the new UltraFlash EVO like a glove. This E-Gear is factory-installed and ready to use. Highly abrasion-resistant wheels are installed, and electric brakes are precisely dimensioned for a smooth, safe stop.

ARF+ or PNP - Service

We offer an extremely high-quality assembly service and can deliver either an ARF+ or a fully flight-ready PNP model – including turbine, fully installed servos and wiring, electric retracts, and pre-installed fuel tanks. If you choose the PNP version, final assembly takes only a few hours… Getting a sport jet like our UltraFlash EVO into the air has never been easier! At the same time, the images show what your model can look like after assembly – a true masterpiece of engineering and design.

Accessories

For our UltraFlash EVO, we offer a wide range of accessories. These include electric retractable landing gear from either JP or Electron, matching fuel tanks, the thrust tube, and an optional UAT. Additionally, we offer high-quality MacGregor servos in combination with our own CARF-Models servo arms – perfectly matched to the model and the demands of a high-performance sport jet.

Various Color Schemes

Like all our airplanes, the UltraFlash EVO is no different. It boasts meticulously applied PU paintwork, expertly executed in the molds. If you're seeking a personalized touch, we offer color swaps and fully custom designs developed through collaboration between you and our skilled artists. Below are our Standard Schemes and a few standout examples:

Flying Characteristics

Well, that's the only area that hasn't changed at all. It is just as awesome as all previous versions of Flash/UltraFlash, and it puts this design pinnacle through its paces.

From an effortless short take-off, through smooth flight routines, the Ultra Flash instills confidence in any pilot who controls it. Rock-solid when flown slowly, the large flaps make slow flybys a joy, but clean up and open the throttle fully, and the Ultra Flash becomes a racing thoroughbred; the clean lines allow smooth, fast aerobatics where she tracks like on rails. When it’s time to land, the greatest joy occurs: lower the flaps to the landing position, increase power to counter the huge drag, and fly the Ultra Flash around to your landing-site threshold; only chopping the power at the last minute allows a super gentle touchdown and short rollout. The Ultra Flash EVO, like its predecessors, will deliver rewarding performance with any turbine producing 100-140 N of thrust.

If you never had one, it's time to get your first. If you had a few, you know that you will always need one... The CARF-Models UltraFlash, now EVO!

UltraFlash EVO Customer Credentials

The Ultra Flash is one of the classics in my sport jet fleet. It combines extremely high speed with exceptional durability. As I always like to say, it is an “all-weather jet” that still flies exceptionally well even in poor weather or on difficult airfields.

In addition, it can be assembled and disassembled in a very short time, making it a true everyday aircraft.

The CARF-Models Ultra Flash is not just fast, it's also a real beauty. I've owned two of these: one in bright yellow with a JetCat 140RX engine, and another in bold orange with a Jets Munt 140 turbine. Both of them have been amazing to fly.
