General Information

Have a blast hovering, torquing, tumbling, spinning, doing all the maneuvers your friends at the flying field thought were impossible. CARF-Models blended the ultralight 3D Universe with the ultrastrong Evolution. The result, the "ULTIMATE," is the strongest Eurosport ever, still extremely light and maneuverable.

The best of the two worlds can only be the "ULTIMATE" Eurosport.

A classic icon is reborn. The BEST from both worlds. That describes the Eurosport ULTIMATE better than anything else. A symbiosis of two breathtaking versions of what may be the most successful jet model ever. All the defining features of the Eurosport 3D-Universe, its light weight, its extreme maneuverability, its completeness, and its well-engineered flight mechanics, combined with the ruggedness and simplicity of the regular Eurosport Evolution. It also adds the latest production technologies, extensive prefabrication, and other market trends. And here comes what will blow most critics and non-believers away: An introductory paint scheme out of this world! The history-making "Bronze Tiger" of the Bavarian Tigers.

The CARF Models Eurosport Ultimate sounds like an impressive aircraft! Its focus on lightweight construction while maintaining structural strength is a key feature. The use of plywood and sandwich foam formers, ribs, and spars ensures that critical components such as gear mounts and wing spars are robust enough to withstand extreme maneuvers. A fully operational rudder and carbon rods to attach the wings, fin, and canards add to its durability. The option for retrofitting gear doors and speedbrake doors allows for customization, and the availability of completion kits in various color schemes is a nice touch.

Features

Even though the wing and fuselage skin is made from the lightest possible total area sandwich, the structural strength has been re-established by using well-thought-out plywood and sandwich foam formers, ribs and spars, so that the gear mounts, for instance, are as strong as they could be; the wing spars are strong enough to withstand even the wildest maneuvers withtoday'ss extremely powerful engines - and still the overall structure is strictly weight controlled to create one of the lightest airframes in its class.

  • All control surfaces are attached and hinged, with control horns and servo mounts installed.
  • The Eurosport ULTIMATE has received a fully operational rudder, which is also readily hinged.
  • Wings, fins, and canards are attached to the fuselage with carbon rods; all parts are secured with easy-to-install bolts.
  • Gear mounts are made from reinforced aircraft-grade plywood to withstand even the roughest fields without damage.
  • Fuel tank mounts and vector tube servo mounts are also installed.
  • We didn't use gear doors or speedbrake doors for weight reasons, but you can retrofit them at any time.

Engine Choice

Here, it is important not to"pimp your rig" too much. The Eurosport 3D-Universe strips away everything unnecessary. Don't look for fully ducted air intakes or a carbon bypass. For a scale cockpit or heavy carbon-sheeted plywood equipment trays. All of this is omitted, and if you want that Eurosport ULTIMATE as powerful as it can be, you'd better not try installing too many options. Since September 2017, you can also choose the fuel system. From the superlight fuel tanks of the 3D-Universe, over an enlarged set to suittoday'ss bigger engines, all the way to the ultra-strong Kevlar tanks of the former ES Evolution - the basic kit, with all its prefabrication, will give you the choice.

We recommend using an engine rated 140 - 160N for non-vector and 180 - 220N for vector flying and hovering. At an overall take-off weight of around 14 kg, 18 kg of thrust will give you all you need while still keeping fuel consumption economical. Keeping it light matters more than adding unnecessary thrust and weight. If you want to add a little, we recommend smoke. Our popular smoke tank fits the airframe, and you can install a pump in the nose, eliminating any need for a counterweight.

Thrust Vector Tube

Since September 2017, we have offered a choice. Many requested to build the plane with a regular thrust tube - of course, this will reduce the cost quite a bit. So, the vector thrust tube is now optional, just like a regular thrust tube. The tumble tube, however, is a sophisticated and well-proven design. It is a hand-made, precision-welded unit from high-grade aluminum and stainless steel. The tumble tube allows deflections of almost 30 degrees, restricting airflow as little as possible, thereby leaving almost 100% of the engine thrust available. The two servos are mounted in the rear part of the fuselage; the push rods are 5mm carbon tubes. In the Eurosport UTIMATE, the vector servo placement is specified, and the mounting plates are already glued in.

Landing Gear

Many different retraction systems are available. Here, too, we offer two options. A light, economical option is the JP landing gearwe'vee offered for quite a while, and it is also available for many of our ARF-Plus versions of Rebel, Joker, UltraFlash, and Eurosport. Another popular option is the Electron electric gear, which matches our airframe perfectly. You'll find both gear sets under the accessory tab above.

ARF+ or PNP - Service

We offer an extremely high-quality assembly service, delivering an ARF+ or ready-to-fly PNP model – including turbine, complete servo and wiring installation, electric retractable landing gear, and pre-installed fuel tanks. When you receive this model in the PNP version, final assembly takes just a few hours… A sport jet like our Diablo has never been easier to get airborne! At the same time, the pictures show what your model can look like onceyou'vee completed the build – a true masterpiece in both looks and engineering.

Accessories

For our Eurosport Ultimate, we offer a wide range of accessories. These include electric retractable landing gear (made by JP or Electron), fuel tanks, a vector/non-vector thrust tube, and an optional UAT. In addition, we offer high-quality MacGregor servos in combination with our very own CARF-Models servo arms – perfectly matched to the model and the demands of a high-performance sport jet.

Various Color Schemes

Like all our airplanes, the Eurosport Ultimate is no different. It boasts meticulously applied PU paintwork, expertly executed in the molds. Ifyou'ree looking for a personalized touch, we offer color swaps and fully custom designs developed in collaboration with our skilled artists. Below are our Standard Schemes and a few standout examples:

Flying Characteristics

CARF-Models has gained extensive experience in building 3D Jets. Although the CARF-Models Rookie was the first of its kind in the early 2000s, the Eurosport 3D-Universe made 3D jet flying a mainstream style. Around the same time, the Elster JetTeam developed its J-10. There was no question that CARF-Models would team up with these two to enhance the model further and make it the best-selling 3D jet of all time. But Eurosport is still at least as good as, or even better than, a 3D airframe. Period. For two reasons: Firstly, the shorter fuselage makes it more nimble for all the flips and tumbles you love to do with such a 3D jet. Secondly, for a good reason, the Eurosport still has aileron authority when hovering at a standstill. How can that work, you might ask? It's because the exhaust nozzle is much closer to the wing's trailing edge. Hence, the turbine's high-speed airflow, operating at its best, creates a venturi effect that pulls a lot of air over the inner wing area and the large ailerons. Furthermore, the Eurosport is small and light, yet it can carry large engines without lots of fuel and smoke, without affecting CG issues, and it is simply... beautiful.

Eurosport Ultimate Customer Credentials

The CARF Eurosport was my introduction to vectored thrust jet flying, and it quickly proved to be the perfect all-rounder. Its delta wing and canards make it incredibly agile, allowing for tight turns without stalling, and it can be flown slowly with a high angle of attack even without thrust vectoring. Landings are easy and predictable. Add a powerful engine and vectored thrust, and it transforms into the ultimate 3D jet. While it's categorized as a sport jet, its outline is close enough to the full-scale version that I wanted to honor that with a scale-inspired scheme. I went with the “Bronze Tiger” design – it looks stunning both in the air and on the ground.
